Chatham's Place Restaurant

The Chatham brothers, graduates of the Culinary Institute of America, prepare specialties at their superb restaurant in Orlando.
In Florida, grouper is about as ubiquitous as Coca-Cola, but to discover its full potential, try the grouper here, sautéed in pecan butter, with a hint of cayenne pepper. It's a strong contender for the best dish in Orlando today. A close second is another house specialty - pan-roasted rack of lamb with an infusion of rosemary. Favorite with the VillaDirect resident 'fatty' is the roast duck.

The most popular appetizer here is the Maryland-style crab cakes, but the New Orleans-style shrimp brochette is also worth sampling. The chef also does wonders with desserts like pecan-macadamia nut pie. This place regularly appears on the "top-ten" list of virtually all eating guides for Florida.

The setting is a nondescript office building, but the food's and service is so good - you won't care! Because Chatham's Place only seats 65, reservations are "a must" for dinner.
